Edward M. Adams, Jr. is a former Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation with more than 26 years experience conducting and managing complex investigations including white collar crime, organized crime, insurance fraud and public corruption cases. He retired from the FBI in December 2003 after a distinguished career as a Special Agent in New York City and Connecticut.

Most recently, Ed successfully managed the FBI’s Bridgeport public corruption investigation which resulted in a dozen convictions, including that of the Mayor of Bridgeport. While serving in the FBI’s Manhattan Office, Ed led a major undercover surveillance investigation into the Gambino and Genovese crime families, securing the necessary evidence to indict and prosecute.

Ed is a certified FBI instructor who developed a specialized surveillance/anti-terrorism training curriculum for the Bureau’s Special Operations Division and for agents preparing for Legat assignments overseas. Today, the program is part of the 14-week new agents training at Quantico, Virginia. Ed was a member of the FBI’s Health Care Task Force where he was responsible for investigations of health care providers, policy holders, insurance company employees and other third parties. He has significant experience in conducting independent reviews of internal fraud, ethics and other employment-related conduct.

Ed received a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Fordham University in Bronx, New York. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Widener University School of Law, Wilmington, Delaware. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York.

Andrea W. Azarm leads Mill River Group’s business intelligence practice. With more than 12 years of recognized expertise in the specialized field of investigative research, she offers extensive experience designing, executing and managing a wide variety of business investigations, domestically and internationally. Throughout the years, Andrea has developed a broad network of open and confidential information sources and is recognized in the industry for her superior analytical skills and breadth of knowledge.

In March 2002, Andrea founded Comprehensive Intelligence, LLC (“CI”), a full-service investigative firm providing services to business and legal communities throughout the United States and Europe. CI brought its capabilities to Mill River Group in May 2005.

Prior to founding CI, Andrea was in charge of investigative research for the New England region of Decision Strategies, an international investigative consulting firm, and served as a leader for the firm’s due diligence practice area. Earlier in her career, Andrea worked in the corporate counsel office of a New York-based international corporation where she was responsible for the investigation of all internal and litigation-related matters. Additionally, Andrea has lived and worked in West Africa where she served as the project administrator for a rural development team. She began her career as a paralegal with a litigation firm in Denver, Colorado.

Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Connecticut.
